Meet The Team
Daniel Smith
I’m Dan, a passionate gardener based in Newton Abbot, Devon. With a wealth of experience managing the gardens of an estate near Okehampton, which included a vineyard, walled garden, glass growing houses, and numerous lakes, I bring a comprehensive skill set to every project.
My journey also includes enriching stints with the National Trust at Killerton House in Exeter and Coleton Fishacre near Kingswear, Brixham. These roles offered me excellent training and the chance to deepen my knowledge and expertise in all aspects of gardening.
My approach is all about efficiency, effectiveness, and bringing your garden vision to life. I’m friendly, approachable, and eager to build a strong working relationship with you. Whether working individually or alongside my capable gardening team (see below), we ensure that your gardening needs are met with the utmost care and professionalism.
I hold a full chainsaw license, spraying tickets, a quad bike license, and a bachelor’s degree in Ecology, making me fully qualified for the job.
I would love to hear about your gardening aspirations and discuss how we can achieve them together. Please get in touch, and let’s create the garden of your dreams!

Jem
I have previously worked as a handyman and a chef, but I have a keen interest in nature, and so the horticultural college course that the Garden Boot Company has put me through is helping me develop my career in this field.
Outside work I play music in my family band and I like to travel as much as I can.

Arron
After leaving college, I qualified as a fully trained electrician, but I then left this industry to work in care. My passion however lies in outdoor activities and sports, such as rock climbing and enjoy taking my dog for long walks across the Moors.
My Gardening career started with the Garden Boot Company and I am looking forward to getting my chainsaw licence through the company this year.

Neil
After a long career working with the council, in the parks department and then with a local landscaping maintenance company in Torbay, I brought my plant knowledge skills and gardening expertise with me to the Garden Boot Company.
I am very health conscious following a vegan diet and love being outdoors gardening in nature.
